Senate
Senate is the Supreme authority regarding policy formulation and decisions making of BUP, Members are the following:
(1) Vice chancellor, who will also act as the chairman
(2) One officer of the rank Major General, nominated by the Chief of the Army Staff
(3) One officer of the rank Rear Admiral, nominated by the Chief of the Naval Staff
(4) One officer of the rank Air Vice Marshal, nominated by the Chief of the Air Staff
(5) One officer of the rank Brigadier, Commodore or Air Commodore, nominated by the Principal Staff Officer, Armed Forces Division of the Prime Ministers Office.
(6) Chairman, University Grant Commission
(7) Secretary, Ministry of education
(8) Pro-Vice-Chancellor
(9) Treasurer
(10) Dean
(11) Head of the entitled college, institute or academic organization
(12) Director General, Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board
(13) Registrar, who will also act as the Member Secretary

Syndicate
Syndicate is comprised of the following members:
(1) Vice Chancellors, who is also the chairman of this body.
(2) An officer of the rank of the Brigadier General nominated by Army Headquarter.
(3) An officer of the rank of the Commodore nominated by the Naval Headquarter.
(4) An officer of the rank of Air Commodore nominated by the Air Headquarter.
(5) An officer of the rank Brigadier General or equivalent nominated by the AFD.
(6) Pro Vice Chancellor.
(7) Treasurer.
(8) An educationalist nominated by the chancellor.
(9) A member of University Grants Commission or equivalent nominated by University Grants Commission.
(10) An officer of the rank of Joint Secretary nominated by Education Ministry.
(11) An officer of the rank of Joint Secretary nominated by Defence Ministry.
(12) An officer of the rank of Joint Secretary nominated by Law, Justice and Parliament Affairs Ministry.
(13) 05(five) members from the affiliated college, institute, academy organization, to be nominated VC BUP.
(14) Registrar, who is also the member secretary of this body.

Academic
Academic Council is composed of the following appointees:
(1) Vice Chancellor , who is also the chairman of this body.
(2) Pro Vice Chancellor.
(3) Treasurer.
(4) Dean.
(5) Senior Professor of Each Faculty.
(6) Controller of Examination.
(7) Five members nominated by syndicate from the affiliated college, institute, academy or organization.
(8) Registrar, who is also the members secretary of this body.
