Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) was established on 05 June 2008 and came into being as 30th public university. This is a unique public university both for the civil and military professionals which upholds the motto "EXCELLENCE THROUGH KNOWLEDGE". The University is envisaged to grow as a modern centre of excellence for research and development in the field of national security, technology and modern science to achieve the desired human resources development of the country. BUP aspires to be a world-class research, teaching and capacity building institution that provides leadership on aspects of national security, war strategy, medical, engineering, development and sustainability. BUP serves as a think tank for the Armed Forces and provides a bridge between the Armed Forces and the national academic and policy-making communities.
