The department of Peace, Conflict and Human Rights (PCHR) is one of the oldest departments of Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) under the Faculty of Security and Strategic Studies (FSSS). The department has started its journey with post-graduation program, Masters of Peace, Conflict and Human Rights Studies for the professionals. Later, with the aim of building affluent knowledge-based society capable of resolving conflicts positively, maintain and uphold human rights the department opened its Bachelor of Social Science in Peace, Conflict and Human Rights Studies form 2022. Presently the department is having 03 faculty members and 50 Bachelor students and 62 graduate students. Cdr A K M Zakaria is the present chairman of the department.
