Faculty of Security and Strategic Studies (FSSS) started its journey from mid-2013. Commodore M Jasim Uddin Bhuiyan, (L), ndc, psc was the founder Dean and Brig Gen Md. Siddiqul Alam Sikder, BSP, ndc, psc is the present Dean. By its syllabus and curriculum, the faculty covers interrelated philosophical, sociological, political, legal, economic, psychological, ethical, humanitarian and other aspects of international relations, law, peace studies, conflict studies, and mass communication and journalism. Currently, 31 faculty members and 1213 students are an inseparable part of the faculty. The faculty contains four departments. Three undergraduate programmes under the Department of International Relations, Department of Law and Department of Mass Communication and Journalism and one regular Master’s programme under the Department of International Relations are currently going on. Additionally, the Department of Peace, Conflict and Human Rights Studies (MPCHRS) and the Department of Law are offering Professionals Master’s programmes respectively which are entirely financed by the concerned departments.
