The Media Lab of the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism is fully equipped with all the professional gears of a media house. The lab is divided into four parts, a studio, a Production Control Room (PCR), an editing room and a radio lab. This lab is aimed at enhancing student’s practical knowledge about professional journalism. The lab will provide three powerful iMac computers for post-production works, 25 DSLR cameras for students of photojournalism course, an outdoor shooting unit with 3 cinema-grade cameras.

Computer Laboratories of BUP provide the best possible services to the university community through a general-purpose laboratory such as Network Laboratory, Programming Laboratory, Database Laboratory and consisting of around 165 PCs (Dell & HP) and high computational workstations, connected through campus-wide LAN with Gigabit connectivity. These laboratories are being served by high-end servers.

"The Departmental of Environmental Science is having two modern laboratories aiming to provide full support for the laboratory courses of undergraduate program. The laboratories are equipped with latest instruments like Microscope, VU-Visible Spectrophotometer, Multi-parameter, BOD Incubator, COD Meter, Laminar Air Flow, Autoclave, Automated Sieve Shaker, Heat Transfer Unit, Theodolite, Weather Station etc. These lab facilities are also enabling the faculties to involve in scientific research"

Department of ICT, FST of BUP has Electrical and Electronics Laboratory for undergraduate students. This laboratory is featured with laboratory equipment such as Function Generator, Oscilloscope, Digital Trainer Board, Logic Probe, IC Tester, Digital Meters, Wide Ranges of Digital ICs of TTL and CMOS Series etc. Students can implement their theoretical knowledge by doing various experiments in the laboratory. Different courses such as Electrical Circuits, Electronic Devices and Circuits, Digital Logic Design, Microprocessor and Interfacing are conducted here. Designing combinational and sequential circuits can provide the capability to program the complex programmable logic devices and field-programmable gate arrays. Students can research and build-up different types of projects in Electrical and Electronics Laboratory.

BUP has a good number of Laboratories with most modern equipment. “Communication Lab” under the department of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is one of them. It is highly equipped with educational instruments to provide students practical knowledge with the vision of “Digital Bangladesh”. Communication related equipment such as Signal Generators, Oscilloscopes, Measuring Components, Optical Fiber Training Panel, Telecommunication Training System, Wave and Antenna Training System, Wireless Transmitters and Receivers, Analog and Digital Modulation Equipment, Advanced Analog and Digital Communication Trainer etc. provide practical implementation of different types of communication systems. Communication related courses are conducted in this laboratory. This lab is designed under the supervision of experts in relevant field as per the academic curriculum of the undergraduate students as well as the recent trends in ICT sector. The lab is also used for research and project purpose for the students of Masters. In future this lab will be enriched with many more equipment such as DSP, Wireless, Micro-strip Trainer etc.
