BUP Donates to Prime Minister’s Relief Fund
15 April 2020, Dhaka: On 15 April (Wednesday) 2020, Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) has donated Tk. 50,00,000 (Fifty Lakh) to the Prime Minister’s Relief and Welfare Fund to expedite government’s steps taken to fight the coronavirus. On behalf of all members of BUP, Vice Chancellor Major General Ataul Hakim Sarwar Hasan, SBP, SGP, ndc, afwc, psc, PhD handed over the cheque. On behalf of Honourable Prime Minister, Dr. Ahmad Kaikaus, Principal Secretary to the Honorable Prime Minister received the cheque in Prime Minister's Office. Among others, BUP Pro-VC Professor M Abul Kashem Mozumder, Ph.D was also present there.
During handing over the cheque, Vice Chancellor of BUP assured of BUP’s continuous support towards all activities taken by Honorable Prime Minister of the Government of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh in response to the situation caused by the outbreak of Corona Virus (COVID-19) and also apprised about various academic initiatives taken by BUP in this ongoing situation.
Honorable Prime Minister, appreciated the steps taken by BUP and also thanked all BUP officials, teachers and staffs for providing generous humanitarian assistance to face Corona Virus (COVID-19) crisis.
