Seminar titled ‘LDC Graduation of Bangladesh: Challenges and Ways Forward’

The Department of Public Administration, Bangladesh University of Professionals organized a seminar entitled LDC Graduation of Bangladesh: Challenges and Ways Forward’ on 10 May 2023 from 1000 hrs to 12:30 hrs. The main objective of this seminar is to understand the challenges we are confronting right now to graduate from LDCs and how to adapt to the unfamiliar situation after graduation. Major General Md Mahbub-ul Alam, ndc, afwc, psc, Mphil, Phd, Vice Chancellor, Bangladesh University of Professionals was the chief guest of this august seminar. Dr Saif Uddin Ahammad, joint secretary to the government of Bangladesh addressed the keynote speech. Brigadier General Mohammad Shamsul Arefin, ndc, psc, Dean, FASS was present in the seminar. However, keynote Speaker sheds light on the criteria which we have already surpassed to be graduated from the LDCs and emphasizes to keep the economy of the country stable, new sectors would be explored, diversified production would be needed to attract the FDI to compete to the world trade and to uplift the image of the country across the globe. He further  asserts to work together to create skilled human resources that would be able to cope with the fourth industrial revolution. Assistant Professor Md Nasir Uddin moderated the interactive session (question-answer session). Finally, the chairman, Department of Public Administration Lt Col Ikramul Yasin (Retd.) gave the vote of thanks. Moreover, chairmen, higher officials, faculty members, invited guests, and students of the Department of Public Administration attended the seminar.
