Biography
Farzana Fatima is currently serving as a Lecturer in the Department of International Relations at the Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP). Prior to this position, she served as research faculty member at the Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIISS), where she was involved in policy-oriented research on regional and global security affairs. She completed her Bachelor of Social Science in International Relations from Bangladesh University of Professionals with summa cum laude and went on to earn her Master of Social Science in International Relations from the same institution. Ms Farzana was awarded multiple ‘Dean's Letter of Appreciation’ and department merit scholarships for her academic achievements in the undergraduate and graduate levels. Her research areas of interest include the geopolitics of the Indo-Pacific region, great power politics, terrorism and violent extremism, and global and regional politics in South Asia.
