On 15 August 2026, the Department of Business Administration-General, Faculty of Business Studies (FBS), Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP), achieved another remarkable milestone as Team “1sttimer?” secured the 1st Runner-Up position in ADWIZ 2.0, an inter-university advertising competition organized by BRAC University Business Club (BIZ BEE).
The team comprised four talented students from the Department of BBA General- Samiha Rahman, Mayeesha Hossain, Rehnuma Esha, and Md. Yeasin. Competing against more than 750 teams from 50 universities across Bangladesh, the team demonstrated exceptional creativity, strategic thinking, problem-solving ability, and presentation skills to advance to the final round and secure a place among the top three teams.
ADWIZ 2.0 challenged participants to transform real-world business problems into compelling advertising solutions. Throughout the competition, Team “1sttimer?” tackled a series of advertising challenges involving prominent brands. In the first round, the team developed an advertising solution for Bashundhara Exercise Book, followed by a campaign challenge for X Ceramics Strong Shield in the second round.
For the grand finale, the team was presented with a strategic advertising challenge for Bashundhara Power Wash, focusing on developing an effective campaign to increase the brand’s market share to 10%. Through a combination of an innovative advertising concept, strategic problem-solving, and a strong presentation, the team successfully stood out among the three finalist teams.
The grand finale was held at BRAC University on 15 August 2026, where the top 5 teams competed for the championship title. Team Unnoyon from Bangladesh University of Professionals emerged as the Champion, while Team “1sttimer?” secured the 1st Runner-Up position and TeM AdVerse from BRAC University became the 2nd Runner-Up.
This outstanding accomplishment has brought immense pride to the Department of Business Administration-General and further strengthens its reputation as a platform for nurturing creative thinkers, strategic problem-solvers, and future business leaders.
