Niamat Ullah has been working as a Legal Officer of the Office of the Registrar (Legal Cell) at the Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) since 2022. As a Legal Officer, his core expertise is in vetting, drafting, reviewing, and interpreting all University Agreements, MOUs, Contracts & Land-related matters. Also, he works in providing legal advice to resolve departmental cases while assuring compliance with national legal frameworks in all dispute resolution proceedings. Previously, Niamat Ullah worked as an Assistant Manager of the Sexual Harassment Redressal Unit at BRAC head office. He also worked as an Instructor of the Leadership Development and Teaching team at Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center (BYLC). 

He enrolled as an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh in 2023 and enrolled as an Advocate of the District and Sessions Court in 2021 by the Bangladesh Bar Council. He completed his Master of Laws (LL.M. Professional) as a first-class first (jointly) from the Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) and completed a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) as a first-class second from the Northern University Bangladesh (NUB). He received the NUB Meritorious Scholarship nine times. 

He passed the four-month-long CSP Fellowship's Professional Leadership Course at George Mason University entitled "CEU-IREX-CSP - 002 CSP Community Leadership Institute" with 109.50 out of 110 marks (99.50%).

Since 2016, he has been contributing to community peacebuilding in Bangladesh, and in 2022 he was selected for the Community Solutions Program organized by IREX and supported by the U.S. Department of State. He has completed his fellowship at the Carter School for Peace at George Mason University, Virginia, USA.

He envisions a peaceful and tolerant world where discrimination, disrespect, and harassment no longer exist.
