Meeting between Faculty of Business Studies, Bangladesh University of Professionals and School of Management, University of Michigan-Flint
An Online meeting between the School of Management, University of Michigan-Flint (UoM-Flint) and Faculty of Business Studies (FBS), Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) was held on January 12, 2024 at 08.00pm (Bangladesh time). Respected Dean of FBS, Brig Gen Mohammad Monir Hossain Patwary, psc, along with the Chairman and faculty members of Department of Business Administration-General (BBA-General) joined the meeting from BUP. On behalf of UoM-Flint, Interim Provost Yener and Zachariah Mathew, Ph.D., Director, Center for Global Engagement and Senior International Officer participated in the meeting. During the meeting, presentations on current academic curriculum of BBA-General Department was presented. In addition, a presentation session on the BBA and MBA programs of UoM-Flint was also held. The representatives from both the universities discussed about the pathways for future collaboration between FBS, BUP and School of Management, UoM-Flint. In this regard, essential academic issues like student exchange, credit transfer, scholarship, waiver, accommodation facilities, in-campus working opportunities, I-20 and other assistances which could be offered to BUP students were discussed elaborately. For the advancement of the collaboration, the representatives have agreed to conduct a course matching to prepare the detailed guidelines for student exchange in BBA and MBA programs. It is expected that this meeting will bring an excellent academic outcome for BUP.
