The Department of Management Studies, Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP), successfully organized a seminar titled “Elevating Ideas into Successful Business Ventures through University–Industry Collaboration in Bangladesh” at the Shadhinota Auditorium, BUP on 11th May,2026 .

The seminar brought together distinguished academicians and industry experts to share their insights on entrepreneurship development, innovation, and the growing importance of collaboration between academia and industry in Bangladesh. The event created a vibrant platform for students to explore practical aspects of transforming innovative ideas into successful business ventures.

The seminar featured enriching sessions conducted by Dr. Md. Arifur Rahman, Professor, Department of Management Studies, Bangladesh University of Professionals; Dr. Melita Mehjabeen, Professor, Institute of Business Administration, University of Dhaka and Chairman, National Bank PLC; and Dr. Rafiuddin Ahmed, Professor, Department of Marketing, University of Dhaka.

The speakers highlighted the importance of industry ready skills, entrepreneurial mindset, research driven innovation, and effective university–industry partnerships for sustainable economic growth in Bangladesh. They also encouraged students to develop adaptability, leadership qualities, and innovative thinking to meet the demands of the modern business world.

Faculty members, students, and invited guests enthusiastically participated in the seminar and engaged in an interactive question and answer session. The program concluded with a crest giving ceremony and a photo session.
