Peer-to-Peer Orientation on Social Emotional Well-Being (SEW)

On 10 December, the Counselling and Placement Centre (CPC) of the Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) conducted a Peer-to-Peer Orientation Learning Session on Social Emotional Well-Being (SEW) under a collaborative initiative led by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and UNESCO Bangladesh. Students from BUP and the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) participated in discussions on emotional resilience, mental health awareness, and peer support.

The session featured distinguished speakers, including Professor Dr. Mohammad Ayub Islam, Member of the UGC, Brigadier General Md Enamul Islam, psc, PhD, Inspector of Colleges, BUP, and keynote speaker Dr. Mahjabeen Haque, Professor at the University of Dhaka, who highlighted holistic student development and the core SEW skills.

The program reflects BUP’s continued commitment to promoting students’ emotional well-being alongside academic excellence.
