Dean’s Interaction Session with the Students of the Department of Business Administration in Marketing

11 May 2026

On 11 May 2026, the Respected Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies conducted an interactive session with the students of the Department of Business Administration in Marketing at the Bijoy Auditorium, Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP). The session was very motivating and thoughtful, focused on the transition from a mundane existence to a meaningful  “journey of life,” emphasizing the critical, enduring, and transformative roles of effective time management, a deep sense of civic responsibility, and strong moral integrity.

The Dean began his address with an insightful comparison between the biological cycles of animals and the purposeful journeys of human beings. He noted that while creatures are forgotten shortly after their death’s; however, humans have the unique capacity to be remembered for centuries. He urged the students to use their physical and mental abilities, not just to complete a life cycle, but to leave a lasting mark on history through active contribution to family, society, and country.

He also highlighted Bangladesh's progress in relation to other nations. He said that through effective leadership and national dedication, these nations made tremendous progress. He encouraged students by saying that they will be the upcoming future leaders and builders of Bangladesh through their knowledge, integrity, and diligence.

In his talk, he also emphasized that the university is a "final preparation stage," encouraging marketing students to go from being passive observers to becoming the forward-thinking CEOs, leaders, and auditors who will propel the country and its future international endeavors. He also addressed the value of self-improvement, discipline, and punctuality in both personal and professional life.

During the session, he cautioned the students against excessive dependence on mobile phones and social media, which erode social lives and waste precious time. Another concerning issue he addressed was drug addiction, which creates a deceptive sense of power that prevents them from contributing to their families and society.

Finally, the Dean advised the students to make a significant contribution to civilization and to conduct meaningful lives. According to him, people's contributions have allowed human history to be remembered for thousands of years. Therefore, to be remembered for their own good deeds and significant accomplishments, every student should have substantial goals, work honestly, maintain integrity, and make beneficial contributions to society.
